Equipment

Do Go-To Transport trucks have cruise control?
Yes, all of our trucks are equipped with cruise control.
Do all Go-To Transport trucks have sleepers?
The majority of our trucks are sleepers, but we do have a few day cabs which are utilized for city work.
What size are the sleepers?
The sleepers are 70” Raised Roof Condo sleepers. These sleepers are equipped with plenty of storage and extra room to increase the level of comfort.
Are radar detectors allowed?
No.
Do Go-To Transport trucks have satellite communication?
Yes, all of our trucks are equipped with Qualcomm Satellite Communication units. The Qualcomm is utilized to send loads, directions, and short communication to drivers.
Who pays for fuel?
Go-To Transport covers the cost of fuel for company drivers. All company drivers are issued fuel cards in order purchase fuel at designated fuel stops. In addition, Go-To Transport pays state fuel taxes. Owner Operators also receive fuel cards, but then the cost of fuel is deducted from their settlement sheets.
Does Go-To Transport pull doubles?
No.
What type of engines do Go-To Transport trucks have?
The majority of the engines are Detroit Diesel Series 60.
Are Go-To Transport trucks governed?
Yes, Over the Road trucks are restricted to 68 mph and city trucks are restricted to 65 miles per hour.

Orientation

Do I have to attend orientation?
Yes, all new Go-To Transport drivers are required to attend a 2 day Driver Orientation.
Is orientation paid?
Yes, orientation is paid at a rate of $50 per day.
Do I have to pay for room and board while in orientation?
No, Go-To Transport pays for your hotel room and meals while in orientation.
How do I get to orientation?
It is your responsibility to get to our company headquarters for orientation, but we can provide transportation to and from the hotel if needed.

Pay

How often are Go-To Transport employees paid?
Go-To Transport issues weekly pay checks and settlement sheets.
Can my paycheck be direct deposited into my bank account?
Yes.

Miscellaneous

Do all new drivers have to take a Department of Transportation physical?
Yes, we will schedule a Department of Transportation physical for you before coming to orientation. The physical as well as mandatory drug test will be paid for by Go-To Transport.
Does Go-To Transport have toll cards?
Yes, all Company Drivers are provided with Pre-Pass Plus
Does Go-To Transport have forced routing?
No
Does Go-To Transport have forced dispatch?
Go-To Transport is not a forced dispatch.
How many hours are drivers allowed to drive per day and per week?
Drivers may drive up to 11 hours in a 14 hour on-duty period. Each on-duty period must begin with at least 10 hours off-duty. In a seven day consecutive period, drivers can have up to 60 hours on-duty and in an eight day consecutive period, drivers can have up to 70 hours on-duty. In order to “restart” the seven or eight day period, drivers must take at least 34 consecutive hours off-duty.
